How NOT To Do Email Marketing

  • Sharebar

If you have been reading along you will know that the guiding fundamentals of an online business I promote are a little bit different.

So is it any guess that the way I recommend doing email marketing would be any different.

Sure you can hammer away at your list…  like most people do.

You may get some sales. Probably a really small percentage. You will probably get a lot of unsubscribers and a lot of unopened emails.

Look at this recent example I got in my email:

[No kidding, I didn't remove any intro or anything that was the whole email (I didn't add the highlighting either!)]

Questions You Need to Ask Yourself

  • What is the level of value this person is delivering to me a potential customer?
  • What about the quality of the relationship he is building?

If you answered: zip, nadda or nilch to the first question and poor, crap or s$%t to the second question – You are right!

And you know this is not an isolated case. If your on any mailing lists you probably get ones like the above example too.

The mentality of hammer your list until they buy something or unsubscribe is so short sighted.

Build a relationship with a visitor, and turn them into a repeat customer would be a much wiser investment.

I think email is a great medium to do just that. But quite often it is so poorly utilized. Writing email copy is one of my favorite marketing jobs and clients are often pleasantly surprised at the end result of how their emails turn out. The hardest part for most of my clients is the combination or balance of asking for the sale with delivering real value to prospects.

If learning more about tackling the above dilemma, the art of selling and this type of business model appeals to you, then I think you will like the work of Andre Chaperon. Andre is an Internet marketer who specializes in email relationships. He has a program called Autoresponder Madness.

There are only a handful of Internet marketers that I trust.

And Andre is one of them.

Autoresponder Madness is an email marketing program but in my opinion it is the best Internet marketing program I have ever come across.

It does a terrific job of talking about business fundamentals, building customer relationships, market research and the art of selling without really selling.

From newbies to advanced marketers, from no email list to a massive email list, from the Internet marketing niche to pet care – Autoresponder Madness will help you build relationships with customers and make selling stuff a whole lot easier.

So go check out Autoresponder Madness and see if it “makes sense” to you. You won’t find a traditional sales page like most Internet marketing products.

Straight away that should clue you in that Andre (the creator) does things a little differently. Plus you will find some testimonials by some heavy hitters in the Internet marketing game.

But, don’t buy it yet.

Yes, call me crazy but I am telling you just to wait and not buy it yet.

What! Why not?

I want you to know one thing about it first.

As good as Autoresponder Madness is, it is missing one thing.

Next post I will let you know what that one thing is and better still what can be done to make this a perfect online business tool.

Thanks Andre!

I used to spend hours on forums, looking for magic bullets and chasing “fads”.

Andre really set me on the straight and narrow.

I started to look at my websites and what I was doing as a proper business.

I followed business fundamentals. Took care of my visitors and customers.

No more “fad” chasing or time wasted searching for magic bullets.

I’ve been wondering for a while which business model I want to use to build an online business and your blog confirmed for me…info products. Thanks for all the great advice. I’ll probably be using many of the products you recommend on here as well as eventually get your product. God bless!
